The Options Clearing Corporation Reduces Clearing Fees
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) announced today that its Board of Directors recently approved a reduction of clearing fees for its membership. The new fee schedule, which becomes effective April 1, will save clearing members up to 9% on clearing fees, depending on the size of trade.

Boston Options Exchange Joins the Options Clearing Corporation
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) and The Boston Stock Exchange (BSE) announced today that the BSE’s Boston Options Exchange trading facility (BOX) has become an OCC participant exchange. This follows the recent approval of BOX’s trading rules by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). BOX will begin operation today.

OCC Announces Record-Breaking Week
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) reported today that during the week of Jan. 5-9, a new weekly record was set for total options trading volume with 29,814,477 contracts. The previous record occurred April 16-April 20, 2001 with 25,453,849 contracts. In addition, two of the five highest trading days for total options volume occurred last week.
