OCC Year-To-Date Cleared Contract Volume Up 19% Passing 4 Billion Contracts In November
OCC announced today that year-to-date cleared contract volume is up 19 percent with 4,278,547,237 contracts, passing 4 billion contracts for the first time ever in November. OCC cleared contract volume in November reached 346,584,214 contracts, a 2 percent decrease from the November 2010 volume of 354,897,569 contracts. OCC's year-to-date average daily contract volume stands at 18,521,850 contracts, nearly 3 million contracts higher than the average daily volume of 2010.

OCC Announces 2011 Options Volume Passes 4 Billion Contracts
OCC announced today that year-to-date total options volume surpassed 4 billion contracts yesterday. This is the first time that U.S. exchange-listed options volume has ever reached this milestone in a single year.

OCC Statement on Transfer and Liquidation of MF Global Customer Positions
Since last Tuesday, OCC has been liquidating standardized options positions and transferring futures positions held in MF Global customer accounts pursuant to its rules and, where applicable, SIPC Trustee approval. This process is now essentially complete with only a few small positions awaiting transfer or liquidation.

OCC Announces Total Cleared Volume Rose 14 Percent in October
OCC announced today that total cleared contract volume reached 393,461,669 contracts in October, representing a 14 percent increase over the October 2010 volume of 344,148,365 contracts. OCC year-to-date total contract volume is up 22 percent with 3,931,963,023 contracts in 2011.

OCC announced today that total cleared contract volume reached 394,148,808 contracts in September, representing a 30 percent increase over the September 2010 volume of 303,851,940 contracts. The strong September trading volume keeps OCC on pace to clear a record number of contracts in 2011.

OCC Announces New Monthly Volume Record With Over 550 Million Cleared Contracts In August
OCC announced today that total cleared contract volume reached 554,842,463 contracts in August, representing a 95 percent increase over the August 2010 volume of 285,128,314 contracts. This marks a new record volume month for OCC and the first time total cleared volume in a month surpassed a half billion contracts. The previous monthly volume record was set in March 2011 with 421,466,054 contracts. OCC year-to-date total volume is up 22 percent with 3,144,352,546 contracts.

OCC announced that a new daily options trading volume record was set on Monday, August 8, 2011 when 41,535,560 contracts were traded. This is 5.07 percent higher than the previous record of 39,530,495 contracts set on August 5, 2011.

OCC Statement Regarding The S&P Rating Change On OCC Counterparty Risk
Standard & Poor's has continued its lockstep approach of linking the ratings of a number of financial institutions and instruments to its rating of U.S. sovereign debt. Following the downgrade of U.S. sovereign debt to AA+ on Friday, S&P has now downgraded OCC, The Depository Trust Co. (DTC), National Securities Clearing Corp. (NSCC), and Fixed Income Clearing Corp. (FICC) to AA+ today.

OCC announced that a new daily options trading volume record was set on Thursday, August 4, 2011 when 36,132,133 contracts were traded. This is 17.24 percent higher than the previous record of 30,818,984 contracts set on May 6, 2010.

OCC Announces Total Contract Volume in July Increased 26%
OCC announced today that it cleared a total of 351,117,113 contracts in July. This represents a 26 percent increase over the July 2010 volume of 279,245,228 contracts. OCC year-to-date total volume is up 13 percent from 2010 with 2,589,510,083 contracts in 2011.

OCC Cleared Volume Increases 21% in June
OCC announced today that total cleared volume in June reached 376,877,261 contracts, a 21 percent increase from the June 2010 volume of 311,231,916 contracts. First half total cleared volume was 2,238,392,970 contracts, 11 percent higher than the first half last year. OCC's securities lending clearing also continued its growth in June with a 13 percent increase in transactions processed from the previous June.

OCC Cleared Volume Remains on Pace for Record Year
OCC announced today that total cleared volume in May reached 362,653,311 contracts, an 11 percent decline from the May 2010 volume of 408,432,157 contracts. While May volume is off against last year's peak volume at this time, OCC reported options, futures, and securities lending volume remain on track for a record year. OCC's year-to-date average daily volume of 18,072,968 is an increase of 8 percent compared to the same point in 2010 and year-to-date total volume is up 9 percent with 1,861,515,709 contracts.

OCC Reports Overall Cleared Volume Declined In April As Futures And Securities Lending Volume Continued To Rise
OCC announced that overall cleared volume reached 338,562,433 contracts in April, representing a 7 percent decrease from the April 2010 volume of 363,275,500 contracts. This volume decline was primarily in options contracts as futures and securities lending volumes continued to rise in April. OCC's year-to-date total volume is up 16 percent with 1,498,862,398 contracts.

OCC Statement Regarding S&P Outlook Revision
Standard & Poor's announced today that it has revised its outlook on OCC and other U.S. clearinghouses following yesterday's revision on the U.S. sovereign debt outlook to negative. It has not downgraded OCC's counterparty credit rating, and that rating remains 'AAA', as affirmed by S&P today.

OCC Announces 19% Increase in Cleared Contracts for Record Volume Month in March
OCC announced today that total volume reached 421,466,054 contracts in March, representing a 19 percent increase over the March 2010 volume of 353,294,816 contracts. This marks a new record month and quarter for OCC cleared volume and is the second time total cleared volume surpassed 400 million contracts in one month. OCC ended the first quarter with total volume reaching 1,160,299,965 contracts, up 25 percent from 2010.

OCC announced today that total OCC cleared contract volume in January reached 381,558,077, a 22% increase from the January 2010 total of 313,538,874. OCC cleared an average of 19,077,904 contracts per day in January, up 16% compared to January 2010's average daily volume of 16,502,046.

OCC Announces Record Year for Options, Futures, and Stock Loan Clearing
OCC announced today that total OCC volume in December reached 344,206,175 contracts, a 16% increase over the December 2009 volume of 296,703,081.
