OCC Announces Cleared Contract Volume Rose 17% in April
OCC announced that cleared contract volume for the month was 376,392,187 contracts, a 17 percent increase from April 2012. OCC's year-to-date total contract volume is down half a percent from April 2012 with 1,383,287,827 contracts.

OCC Announces Average Daily Cleared Contract Volume Declined 8% in March
OCC announced that average daily cleared contract volume for the month was 15,831,521 contracts, an 8 percent decline from March 2012. Total cleared contract volume in March reached 316,630,411, a 17 percent decrease from the 379,763,970 contracts in March 2012, which had two more trading days. OCC's year-to-date total contract volume is down 6 percent from 2012 with 1,006,895,640 contracts, while average daily volume is down 3 percent at 16,781,594 contracts.

OCC Announces Cleared Contract Volume Declined 8% in February
OCC announced today that total cleared contract volume in February reached 325,237,351 contracts, representing an 8 percent decrease from the February 2012 volume of 351,702,360 contracts. OCC's year-to-date cleared contract volume is up 0.19 percent from 2012 with 690,265,229 contracts.

Volume Across All Cleared Products Rose Significantly In January
OCC announced today that total cleared contract volume in January reached 365,027,878 contracts. This represents an 8 percent increase from the January 2012 volume of 337,222,938 contracts. OCC's options and futures volume was up significantly last month, making it the second highest January for OCC cleared contract volume on record behind January 2011. OCC's stock loan program also reported a strong start to the year.

Markit, a leading, global financial information services company, today announced that it has been selected by OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organisation, to provide daily implied volatility data on the S&P 500 index.

OCC Cleared Contract Volume Reached 4 Billion Contracts in 2012
OCC announced today the total cleared contract volume in 2012 reached 4,042,175,801 contracts, a 12 percent decline from the 2011 record volume of 4,600,955,949 contracts. Despite this decline, 2012 marks the second highest year for OCC cleared contract volume to date and the second consecutive year OCC volume has surpassed 4 billion contracts.
